Page Speed or Social Share Count which matters to you most? It is the million dollar question roaming around the blogging world. For me Still page speed beats the social share counts. But you cant just ignore the importance of social sharing. With this you can make your post go viral. Catchy Title will attract more visitor. Also you have to make sure to add easy to use social share links below every post. Useful and interesting contents will be shared. There are hundreds of plugins out there to help you achieve you this goal. But will you do with plugin? While there are opportunity not to use plugin. However its really hard to make them totally right without affecting the design or page speed. If you use image, it will reduce page speed although only a little bit. Moreover 10 social links ought to use 10 separate image. Then the Google Page Speed or GT Metrix will recommend you to use them in CSS Sprites. For CSS Sprites the image size will be increased. So I thought not to use image for all. Just the major search engine like Facebook, Twitter and Google plus share has got the image to catch the attention. Slow load times have higher bounce rates.

Floating Social Bar is the best social media plugin for WordPress that adds a floating share bar to your content. Floating Social Bar only loads scripts when necessary. None of the social media scripts are loaded when the page is loaded. Instead we show a replica image with all the counts. We use the socialite script to only load social buttons when the user brings their mouse over the button. Doing this allows us to keep your site as fast as it would load without any social plugins.
