Battery life is an important features that you will look before buying a smart phone. Latest technologies are invented to prolong the battery life. With certain tips and tricks you can easily increase battery life of your android smart phone. Higher-resolution displays, big AMOLED and LCD screens, lots of running apps, live wallpaper etc are battery hungry. They drain out the battery more quickly. Some smart phones comes with built in Battery saver like “extreme power mode” in the HTC One M9 and “ultra power saving” in the Samsung Galaxy S6.
I have experimented with some battery saving apps. And came into conclusion that some of them really works. Most of them kills the ongoing tasks. But the task killers does not help to prolong the battery life rather the task will restart and consume more power. And you should not use more than one app of same kind. They can conflict.
Most of the recent batteries are Lithium battery. They do not have memories that means you don’t need to fully charge or discharge them at the beginning, and partial charging is enough throughout their life. Its really better to partially charge them for example from 20 percent to 90 percent than to fully charge and fully drain them.
Tips to Prolong Battery Life:
Use dark theme, dark wallpaper for display. Don’t use display auto-brightness rather lower the brightness. A shorter screen timeout setting saves battery. Turn off smart features like air gestures, smart scrolling and the like, especially if you have a Samsung. Turn off vibrate and haptic feedback to save battery. Set ”sleep times” or ”blocking mode” to switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data when you don’t need them. Switching to airplane mode or turning off features like Bluetooth, NFC and GPS can eke out a few more minutes of life in a pinch.
According to http://www.androidauthority.com
Any battery saving app that functions as a ‘task killer’ should be avoided at all costs. Android is a multitasking operating system, and, as such, keeps apps in the memory so that they can be accessed quickly. Android has been designed use up most of the available memory, and keeps often used apps in the background. If a manager (app) comes and closes them, they will simply reinitialize, and consume a lot of battery in the process.
As the smart phone grows , some rumors or myths or misconception are also present here. Today i will tell you some of them. With the advancement of technology these smart phone myths are debunked.
Top 5 Android Apps to Prolong Battery Life:
Deepsleep battery saver constantly puts the device to deepsleep mode while screen off. According to LifeHacker: “Plenty of apps save your battery life, but this one takes the idea to a whole new level”
During deepsleep mode, Wifi, 3G are turned off, background apps are stopped. Therefore, most apps are not working, including Facebook, Google Service, etc,. It then constantly wakes up in order to download email, sync Facebook status, etc,. It’s defined by deepsleep frequency and woke up duration. Personally this is my favorite.
