Want to show Image Thumbnails on video files instead of Video reel and file types icon? This easy and small tutorial will help you to find out how you can do that. Actually I am fond of video songs. I see a lot of video songs everyday. English Hindi Bangla All videos, that I have in my Hard Disk. One day it caught my attention that if every video have thumbnail picture, then it will be easy to find the video. It also helps to recognize the video files. By default some video files will show thumbnail pictures. But some are missing. Actually I got a lot of missing. Then I searched it on Google, but nothing helped me. Then however I got that tweak. K Lite Media Codec pack will do it for you. You just need to install the software. I will show you that. See the picture below, some of them are missing thumbnails image.
How to Show Thumbnail Pictures on Video Files:
Step 1: At first download K-Lite Codec Pack. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular audio and video formats and even several less common formats. The installation is fully customizable, meaning that you are able to install just those components that you really want. So if you don’t want other options you can deselect them.
Step 2: Install K-Lite Codec Pack. During installation select the normal mode. See the picture below.
Step 3: Then scroll down below, select the Video Thumbnails. See the image.
Step 4: In Additional Tasks and options, select the both tweaks. It will hide the video reel and file type icon overlays. As the pictures shows below.
Step 5: This is a additional steps. Open the start menu. Click on Codec Tweak Tool. Below see the Thumbnails options. Open it. You can select the file types on which you want to show thumbnail pictures.
How To Clear Thumbnail Cache:
In step 5 open the options. You can see the Clear Thumbnail Cache options. Windows stores the thumbnails to rapidly show you image when you open the folder.
